While 2002 in most basements and rehearsal rooms of the German capital electric guitars were abused, Mathias Thürk was developing some sophisticated electropop tracks in his flat in Berlin and was looking for a matching singer in the world wide web. Finding Daniel Wollatz -former singer of Neubrandenburg’s dark wave act Paradise of Fear- meant the perfect cast. In 2006 the band was joined by Andreas Wollatz, who is handling second keyboards. For live gigs Minerve are supported by drummer David Kewitz. During the ensuing period two studio albums, a remix album, especially created for the russian market, some EPs and several singles have been released. Minerve were touring different european countries and celebrated remarkable successes most of all in Poland, Russia and parts of Eastern Europe. 2010 Minerve released their third studio album „Please“, produced by Olaf Wollschläger, who already worked with artists such as Unheilig, Paradise Lost, And One, Mesh and Melotron before. Well known „mastering legend“ John Cremer, who did the mastering for The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Eurythmics and Herbert Grönemeyer, was responsible for the powerful fine tuning. „Pleased“ was well-received by critics receiving rapturous press across the board. Minerve’s latest release „Repleased“ (2011) is exclusively featuring remix tracks by artists such as Seabound, Spektralized and many more. In spring 2012 and after 10 years keyboarder and founding member Mathias Thürk decided to leave the band in order to dedicate himself to something completely new. Today, incredible ten years later and after succesfully supporting And One on their latest shows with Camouflage and De/vision, Minerve are absolutely determined to finally enter the club stages again.
